02 — Issue to WO (ISS/IWO)

Issue is the real deduction. When material goes to the line, the issue slip posts ISS/IWO: the quantity leaves store stock and is charged to the work order, so your on-hand ledger and the job's consumed cost both update at the same instant. Got the wrong item or quantity? Reverse the issue. Line left material over? Return it to stock on the same slip. Cancel a reserve or issue and it posts as CRES or CISS — nothing is edited away silently.

04 — Production Slips & the Commit Principle

WIP moves through the route —
stock stays put until transfer

Production slips move the accepted WIP quantity from one operation to the next, and finally into finished goods. This is the principle that keeps the numbers honest: stock only truly commits at two points — material leaves at issue (ISS/IWO), and finished goods land in stock at transfer (FGP/FG). WIP bookings track quantity through the route without touching finished-goods stock until that transfer, so on-hand FG never overstates what has actually been made.
